BOARD OF DIRECTORS

michelle o’brien, President

Michelle has been an SFT parent and volunteer for many years. She holds a degree in Social Work and has 20 years of non-profit management experience, specifically in the Medical Geriatric field. She currently works as a Marketing and Social Media Specialist for a not-for-profit senior housing complex. Michelle has experience in Government and State grant writing, and has also planned both large and small fundraising events.

Steven rignoli, treasurer

Steven has been with the Square Foot Theatre Company for over 13 years, beginning as an actor in 2009. Steven earned a bachelor's degree in management and a master's in organizational leadership. He currently works as the Director of Advancement Operations at Albertus Magnus College and has experience in fundraising, donor relations, event planning, and constituent engagement.

Colleen Zona, secretary

Colleen has been involved with Square Foot Theatre since its inception. She has worked in both the private and public school systems for over 25 years, currently working as a early childhood teacher in an inner city public school. Colleen has also worked as a private tutor, educational consultant, and business owner.

Tobi-ann Brown, director emerita

Tobi is a founding board member and inaugural Treasurer of The Square Foot Theatre Company. She has been an instrumental part of the company since its inception in 2007. Before her retirement, Tobi spent over 20 years working in the special education spectrum and also tutored students at her synagogue. Prior to the implementation of our online ticketing system, Tobi ran all of the box office and front of house operations - by hand!

Jared Andrew Brown, Co-Founder

Jared received his BFA in Music Theatre from The Hartt School, where he has also choreographed. As a theatre educator for more than 15 years, Jared’s work has graced the stages of The Seven Angels Theatre and The Little Theatre of Manchester, not to mention various high schools and community stages across the East Coast. Jared’s students have gone on to join the casts of MARY POPPINS on Broadway, the national tour of ANNIE, as well as appear in nationally broadcast commercials.

Patrick Laffin, Co-Founder

Patrick has been teaching theatre in Connecticut for the past ten years, specializing in audition techniques, Shakespearean analysis and preparation, and character development. He also has a background working in talent marketing for actors, models, and musicians. Patrick has entertained both locally and internationally.
